Patricia McCord, a Texas License Court Interpreter [#244], began working with Harris County's JP Courts in 1997, well before Texas required licensing for interpreters. The courts were overwhelmed by Spanish speakers, and being a US Citizen born and raised in Colombia, Patricia was the first one the Judges called on for assistance in communicating with defendants and civil parties that could not effectively respond to the issues in front of the Judges in English.

After relocating to Dallas in 2007, she determined the need for dedicated interpreters that had both civil and criminal court experience rather than just interpreter knowledge. As an experienced Clerk in Harris County, she understands the needs and demands of Judges and carries that demeanor when she goes before them on behalf of attorneys with Spanish speaking clients that cannot plead their case in English.

Working independently in Dallas-Fort Worth, she has a 100% call back rate in the courts, and has built excellent relationships with not only the Judges, but as importantly, the Court Staff Personnel.
